The CR310 is a Class 2 Integrating Sound Level Meter, as required by the UK noise at work regulations. Along with the usual Fast and Slow sound level, it measures the LAeq (average level) and the LCpeak, as demanded by the regulations and national guidelines.
This new noise at work meter is available as part of a Noise Measurement Kit, order code CK310, which includes the meter, a calibrator (also required by the regulations) and a carrying case.
The UK noise at work regulations state the type and class of sound level meter that you should use when assessing worker noise exposure:
While lower cost Class 2 meters are available, if they are not Integrating then they will not measure the LAeq, which is a requirement. The CR310 is of the correct grade and measures all the parameters that are required by the regulations.
